Polymega Is Getting Beta Units, Sign-up Open Now
Playmaji has just announced that it is taking sign-ups for beta testers of its upcoming modular retro gaming console Polymega. Sign-ups are open to everyone that has previously pre-ordered a Polymega system. To get signed up for the beta phase pre-order customers just need to fill out this form from the official Polymega web page. You will need to have your order number handy during the sign-up so if you don’t have it you can shoot an email to the support team to get it. During the testing phase, users will be able to share all images and thoughts with the world as there is no NDA attached to the beta units. Once the testing period is done, users can decide to trade in their beta unit for a final retail unit or keep it as their pre-order.
I would like to point out one interesting thing I noticed on the sign-up form while I was submitting my own beat request, N64 is named during game and system selection. The Polymega doesn’t currently have support for the N64 publicly announced yet it is included in the form alongside only other systems compatible with the Polymega. Might we be getting a hint here as to the next supported system Playmaji is hoping to include with Polymega post-launch? Now that N64 emulation is getting to a stage where even the Factor 5 games can be run on modest hardware I am hoping so!
The program sounds like a great way to finish up final testing of the Polymega system which has been hit with a series of delays from its last given release window. Thanks to processor shortages from Intel, a new release window has been given for February to March of this year. If you have already pre-ordered a Polymega console are you planning to sign-up for the beta test program?
