Reggie Fils-Aime Disses VR, Says Nintendo Switch Could Be Short In Supply This Holiday Season

Nintendo of America's leading man Reggie Fils-Aime is always one to share the big N's opinion on modern trends of gaming, and it sounds like they won't be getting into VR anytime soon. Fils-Aime spoke recently at  Variety's Entertainment & Technology Summit, and mentioned that the platform's current problem is that it doesn't have a lot of "fun experiences."

That's not too surprising of a stance to take, as the current VR market is pretty sparse in terms of gaming options, and not too many gaming companies (outside of Bethesda) are putting in work on developing for it. Basically one shouldn't be expecting anything VR from Nintendo anytime soon because they don't seem to be interested.

On the subject of Nintendo Switch, Fils-Aime seems confident the company is going to hit their goal of 10 million units before the end of the fiscal year and says they've prepared to ramp up production leading up to the holiday season.

Whether that means everyone who wants a Switch will be able to buy one though is a different story:

"Are we going to have enough for the holiday? That's what we are focused on..."

Fils-Aime says Nintendo will be ramping up production, but with demand still very high even after 4.5 million units sold, it's hard to say whether or not they'll be able to make everyone happy for the holiday season.

Are you preparing for the holiday season by searching for a Switch now? If not I suggest you do as I've tried to search for a Nintendo console during holiday shopping and it's an absolute nightmare.
