Reggie Fils Aime Says SNES Classic Will Be Plentiful Enough That No One Should Pay A Scalper For One
In the boldest statement he's made since the SNES Classic was announced, Reggie Fils-Aime says the console will be stocked so frequently that consumers should not buy from third party scalpers. Fils Aime's exact words can be found below:
“I would strongly urge you not to over-bid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites,”
Fils-Aime continued in saying that production of the console has been increased dramatically, and indicated that this situation would not be similar to the launch of the NES Classic. The difference, he said, was that Nintendo based their numbers for the NES Classic on how poorly past retro consoles have sold in the international market. That mistake, presumably, won't be made again and many more people will be able to get an SNES Classic.
Does that mean everyone will get a SNES Classic? That's likely a bit of a stretch, but that's just my speculation and not Fils Aime. Does this give you a little more hope that you'll be able to get your hands on the retro console?
