Relic's COMPANY OF HEROES 3 Delayed
Award-winning developer Relic Entertainment has announced a 3-month delay for their upcoming RTS Company of Heroes 3. Initially scheduled for release on November 17 of this year, the new release date is scheduled for February 23. This news comes on the back end of a few public feedback sessions and internal testing and is supposed to polish and tune up some in-game systems.
Relic wants to clarify that the current release features are locked in, but they wanted to take the extra time to refine, bug fix, and work on already announced features such as the dynamic Italian campaign. This time will also be used to review and improve dialogue to ensure that voice work is “authentic to specific characters and their native accents”.
“The additional time allows us to work on overall improvements, balancing, and fine-tuning of CoH 3 to ensure the game will meet player expectations and deliver the deepest tactical experience in the series yet.” After working with their internal QA team and the recent public “Mission Alpha” they also decided to work on a stronger visual focus on “grit and details” during the real-time battles and update the current lighting system being utilized.
At this point, Company of Heroes 3 is scheduled to release on PC via Steam on February 23, 2023. Let us know your thought on the delay in the comments, is it for the best?
