RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE Features Claire Redfield In A Gameplay Demo At Gamescom

Claire Redfield, the co-protagonist of Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 was recently featured in a gameplay demo released by Capcom at Gamescom 2018. Claire is seen making her way into the Raccoon City Police Station and bumping into familiar faces such as Sherry Birkin, Chief Brian Irons, and the mutated version of William Birkin.

Both the original and remake versions of Resident Evil 2 is expected to follow the same storyline more or less. Claire enters Raccoon City in search of her brother, STARS member Chris Redfield, who disappeared after the events of the first game. Unbeknownst to Claire, the city is in complete ruins after the accidental release of the T-virus that turned its citizens into flesh-eating zombies.

The gameplay gave players a preview of Claire’s encounter with the mutated form of William Birkin. She is seen struggling to defeat the monster as she tries to make her bullets count. The preview suggests that enemies in the game will likely have weak spots that players should aim for, similar in newer Resident Evil titles. The gameplay footage ended with Claire and Sherry encountering the deranged Chief Brian Irons.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is set to release on January 25, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
