SKYRIM, SPLATOON, And New MARIO Game Rumored To Be Launch Titles For Nintendo Switch

According to new reports, Nintendo has Splatoon, Skyrim, and a new Mario game ready to roll for the Nintendo Switch launch. This rumor once again coming from Let's Play Video Games who has been the source for reliable Nintendo leaks in the past. While it didn't seem all that surprising for Splatoon, Skyrim, and even NBA 2k17 as they were all featured in the trailer to be coming to the console at launch...I'm surprised Nintendo has managed to keep a completed Mario game under wraps for this long! LPVG has some information they believe is solid about the new game...

The title will apparently feature a 3D open world hub from which different worlds can be selected, with multiple objectives to complete in each, much like Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy. This may seem obvious, but we share this information to specify that this will not be a Super Mario 3D World-style game where the action is in 3D, but each stage is a linear path designed to be completed a single time.

I had hoped and assumed Nintendo would be returning to the traditional Mario 3D platforming style, but it's good to finally hear someone confirm it.

Considering it's not confirmed by Nintendo we should all keep just a bit of skepticism on this rumor, but as I've mentioned in the past LPVG has quite possibly the best track record when it comes to leaking out Nintendo knowledge. If you're still not convinced and want to hear it straight from the companies mouth you'll have to wait until Januaray unfortunately!
