SOMETHING COOL: Collection Of PARK BEYOND Goods
With the recent launch of their latest exciting theme park simulator game Park Beyond, Bandai Namco has sent out some interesting goodies to go with the launch. While there are a handful of items I don’t see available in their shop, there is always the collector’s edition - officially entitled “Impossified Edition” - that anybody can pick up from the Bandai Namco Store. Because of this, I will focus this feature on what you can pick up as well.
The collector’s edition of the game includes a lot of really interesting items to check out. For those who like artwork collections, you will find a handful of really neat items. As pictured to the right, you will get 3 Park Beyond postcard-sized logoed images, a small collection of stickers, a Steelbook that is blue with the outline of their impossified Ferris Wheel, a double-sided map, and finally, a full art book featuring contraptions, characters, and more.
As a PC player, I did get my game code digitally which means my Steelbook case is just for looks without a game inside it. However, you can pick this up on PlayStation or Xbox so you can put the physical disk inside the Steelbook.
Along with these neat art-focused items, you get some pretty cool physical goods. As a big fan of real-life theme parks, going to various ones around America since I was a child, I was super excited to see the Omnicar Desk Figurine! Featuring a full car of riders, this coaster car on a roller coaster track is made of sturdy plastic and plaster (based on how it felt textually). It didn’t have a lot of weight to it, but it does stand on its own very easily, so balance isn’t an issue yet at the same time, I’m not sure it would make a great paperweight. Still, hard to deny that it is an awesome desk figurine!
Along with the desk figurine, you also get a Park Beyond-themed lanyard which features coaster tracks, the game logo, and a placated “Staff” badge to give the presentation that you are a theme park worker. You can see both the figurine and lanyard at the top of the article. Before moving on, the last thing I’d like to point out is the box this collection comes in. Pictured to the left, you can see that it comes with a three-layer box set where the yellow box featuring colored images of some flat rides sits inside the blue box with the outlined rides and tracks, which then gets covered by an official Park Beyond image cover that wraps around the box. All these pieces together hold everything safely inside the box and are easy to put back together for storage purposes.
Moving on the the extra stuff that was sent, we have the other Park Beyond merchandise that was sent out. While I can’t find it on their shop right now, all of these items can easily end up on their online store at any time because these are some pretty neat items to pick up.
In this box, they sent a hat, water bottle, sunblock lotion, sanitizer, a barf bag, a small stack of art cards, and a set of long socks featuring one of the game’s most colorful rides. This box was a “theme park essentials” type of pack as half of this stuff is what I pack when I am heading out to a day at the theme park. The barf bag is comical honestly, but the hat is comfortable, the socks were perfect for my wife’s collection of colorful long socks, the sunblock and sanitizer are effective but tiny, and the water bottle holds enough to keep two people hydrated while walking around on a hot day (refills needed still, of course).
Sending out a collection of theme-park-goer-themed items is a nice touch and I don’t know why they don’t have this up on their site yet! The art cards are a great addition to the Impossified Edition’s art collection too. I honestly hope to see these items up on Bandai Namco’s store website in the future because more users deserve to be able to pick up these unique goodies themselves as well!
Overall, the collection of Park Beyond goods that were sent out is easy to enjoy and a wonderful addition to my personal collection. There may be a slight bias to enjoying these items due to my love of amusement parks throughout my life, but everything is made with proper quality and doesn’t feel like it was quickly thrown together at all. As usual, Bandai Namco shows their quality touch for their collection of items!
