SOMETHING COOL: Turn Your Pet Into A Pokemon With PokePet
There is nothing like mixing together nostalgia and family. That is what makes the appeal for a unique item like a PokePet after all. In fact, the Poke Pet Shop doesn’t just focus on family pets either. Instead, they offer a variety of styles and options that range far enough to include family portraits and more!
After digging this option out of our ‘save for later’ folders, we decided to surprise our little buddy with something that is actually for ourselves for his birthday. We turned him into his own Pokemon-style card! While they did have a bunch of options, such as cosmetic changes and themed edits, we went with a classic style with full detail on the card to fit his personality.
We even got to pick all the numbers and types, so we set his card up with a bunch of accurate information and tried setting it up in a fashion you would see on the cards. If you look it over, you’ll find his birth year for HP, his proper length and weight, the date we brought him home for the damage, and some fun details about his personality. The fighting type is because he loves his roughhousing and the grass weakness is because he is scared of the outdoors.
Every aspect of the card was able to be customized and detailed however we wanted to set it up. Plus, we got to send in a handful of digital pictures and choose which position we wanted him to be in on the card. But the card design and portrait position aren’t all we had the choice on.
When you pick out your PokePet, you also get to pick how you want to receive it. They have a bunch of different options but in the end we with the 12x9 canvas portrait to hang up on our wall (seen above and as the side-by-side comparison for the cover image) and a metal card, which is seen to the right and appears to have a gold color to it. These choices come at different prices, starting at $45 USD for just the metal card and up to the biggest bundle for $105 USD which includes both the metal card and a 16x12 canvas.
Now, when I mentioned that they have a bunch of options to choose from, which includes going outside of the Pokemon choices. They have the popular PokePet option along with Pet The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Pet, Couples Card, Trainer Cards, and the occasional holiday cards, such as the Poke Mom Card. They claim to be able to do any animal or person, so if you are interested then they can make it happen!
This unique gift item is definitely something I thought was super cool and would recommend to any fans looking to make memorabilia with the family and/or pets that you can’t get anywhere else!
