SUPER MEGA BASEBALL 2 Gets A Release Date

Super Mega Baseball 2, the over-the-top-style baseball game, which was originally scheduled to launch last year, will be released on May 1 as announced by developer Metalhead. The title will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and will be priced at $30.

The upcoming game will be a more “sophisticated baseball simulation” compared to its predecessor and is aiming to attract “baseball purists.” On the other hand, Scott Drader, co-founder of Metalhead promised that the game will retain the “pick-up-and-play” feature that made the first game popular. Furthermore, Drader said that fan feedback was taken into account in the development of Super Mega Baseball 2.

“Community feedback massively influenced our design choices for the sequel and we’ll be listening carefully to the community again this time when we’re considering further changes and additional content.”

One of the biggest changes in Super Mega Baseball 2 will be the game’s overall look. The upcoming title will feature a more realistic aesthetics, which won’t look cartoony as the previous game did. New athletic animations were also infused in the game and will feature eight stadiums that were built from the ground up. Also, Super Mega Baseball 2 will support cross-play between the PC and Xbox One and PC and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, Xbox One and PS4 players won’t be able to play with each other in the game.

Lastly, the upcoming game will be released with three DLC packs available on day one, which will feature cosmetic customization options. Given that the game is unlicensed, Super Mega Baseball 2 will not feature any real-world athletes and stadiums.
