The FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Demo Is A Visual Masterpiece
Eye Candy for All
Confession Time: I’ve never beat FINAL FANTASY VII. Before you start throwing your virtual tomatoes and heads of cabbage, YES, I have started it several times on different systems but I for one never had a PSX to be truly sucked in during the initial launch era. Either way, here we are, 23 years (!) later and the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Demo is upon us and available now to download on PS4. The demo is around 8 GB in size which is shockingly smaller than my 20+ GB estimate I was preparing to download.
To say that this demo is visually stunning would be a gross understatement. Regardless of how much you love, hate, or just don’t care about Final Fantasy in general, this is true eye candy for us all; a visual masterpiece. All the screenshots posted here are direct, unedited capture of the in-game engine. It’s truly a sight to behold. Feel free to click on any image for a larger version.
Whether focusing on Cloud and his band of misfits, the enemy soldiers, or the gritty surroundings, the visuals are truly a marvel. Lighting, animation, and effects are top-notch and even if you don’t care for the gameplay (spoiler: It’s fantastic), this is gaming reference material at its finest.
I have been extremely skeptical about this title since the details were revealed on how it is episodic in nature, etc, etc but after playing the demo, I am hooked. I can’t wait to dive in and see not only how the story unfolds but also behold the glorious vistas that await.
