The Game Is Afoot With SHERLOCK HOLMES CHAPTER ONE
The famous detective is just starting to build his legacy in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One.
Coming in 2021 is a chance to see the inscrutable and ingenious man in his earlier days, as a young Sherlock Holmes investigates his mother’s death. But he’s not in England. Not even close. Holmes will be exploring an island in the Mediterranean and it’s full of danger and mystery.
It’s an open-world detective adventure with all of the classic traits that define Sherlock Holmes. There is crime. There is deception. There is an obscuring fog masking the truth through which only the mind of Sherlock Holmes can penetrate.
Here are key features that Frogwares promises in the game:
Sherlock is a young and arrogant man. He’s not a legend yet. He’ll have to forge his own path as he uncovers a mystery more personal than ever.
In an open-world setting, the next clue can be anywhere. On an unfamiliar Mediterranean island, you’ll have to explore every avenue and track down every lead. Keep everything locked away in your mind palace.
Holmes doesn’t fight fair. He fights smart. Make sure you use your powers of observation to gain the advantage in every fight as you bring down enemies with your intellect and the environment around you.
You have a companion, but it’s not John Watson. Who is this other man and how does he fit into the story?
The 19th-century setting is rife with corruption and crime. This is the kind of place where Holmes thrives, but the Mediterranean is not 221B Baker Street. Sherlock will have to be careful.
Truth is not always a kind reality. Sherlock wants answers about his mother’s death. But he may not like what he finds. And the islanders might not like the man snooping around in their world.
It all sounds exciting to me. I have high hopes for the game because I love the source material so much. Hopefully, it will live up to expectations and be an enthralling narrative-driven experience.

The thriller will launch on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and next-gen consoles in 2021.
