The Hype For EVIL DEAD: THE GAME Is Real

Since its announcement at The Game Awards 2020 show, Evil Dead: The Game has in my eyes, been one of my more highly anticipated games going into 2021. There hadn’t been much said about it and it still hides in a shroud of mystery. As the weeks go on, more and more secrets around the game are finally coming to light with me feeling hopeful to see a gameplay trailer very shortly. After seeing its announcement trailer I came to the conclusion that the game would fall into the same category of games such as the Left 4 Dead series or Sniper Elite: Zombie Army series.

Fast-forward to now, it looks as if the game may fall into a different category more in the same vein as the once-great Friday The 13th: The Game and the grossly mistreated Evolve. A Tweet from the official Evil Dead: The Game Twitter account teases “Work together as a team to explore, loot, craft, & find key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and his friends!” which definitely frames the game in an A-symmetric survival type of way. Besides that, it was also announced that there would be over 25 unique weapons for Ash and Co. to use on their mission to rid the world of evil. Those weapons include Ash’s Power Glove, his Boomstick, and a chainsaw, with many more on the way!

Evil Dead: The Game may not have a release date set as of yet but it is slated to come out in 2021 on just about every platform. At launch, it will be playable on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC!
