The SKATE Teaser Was Just That, A Tease
If you read our article from yesterday, then you know that Full Circle was going to tease their new Skate game a bit. Well they did, they really did. What we got was a 75-second video that showed absolutely no gameplay and instead showed other people reacting to the small amount of work that had been done so far.
It’s definitely a video that would get one stoked for the game even without seeing a glimpse of raw footage. Each of the reactors are personalities that know a thing or two about skateboarding whether it be in real life or game-wise.
While there isn’t much to show, we do hear some interesting reactions to things such as tricks but there are some more specific ones. Mostly a quick sentence about open-world and another about making your character look 100% unique from everyone else.
It’s interesting to see this type of teaser as it really isn’t something that is always done. I personally find it a bit underwhelming myself as this had some momentum behind it. This isn’t something I would’ve announced that I was doing but hype is a valuable thing I guess.
Most teasers like this would’ve just been dropped without a word to see how fans reacted. I’m also interested to see what exactly EA has in store for their Play Live event on Thursday seeing as neither this nor any Star Wars property games are to be shown. Hopefully, it isn’t a snooze-fest.
