The Wyrmwood Modular Gaming Table Could Raise More Than $10 Million On Kickstarter

Wyrmwood Gaming has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Modular Gaming Table, with both coffee and dining models available, and it’s absolutely blown up on the popular crowdfunding platform. Marketed as a “revolutionary table that evolves over a lifetime,” it’s a modular table that starts at $300 but can get expensive quickly depending on what options and accessories you choose.

That’s not stopping gamers from jumping on board, though. As of today, almost 8000 backers have pledged almost $8 million dollars. It’s one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns I’ve seen, and it’s still got a month to go. On the first day alone, over $4 million was raised by backers. It’s in the top 20 Kickstarter campaigns of all time. That’s quite an accomplishment.

I think it has the potential to raise more than $10 million as the second month of the campaign begins.

If you haven’t heard of Wyrmwood Gaming, the Massachusetts-based company is a small, customer-focused group of craftsmen and gamers who have introduced a lot of high-quality gaming products to the tabletop community. This is not their first rodeo. Many of their products started on Kickstarter but the Modular Gaming Table is exciting because it’s the most versatile product I’ve seen from them yet.

There are five kinds of tables available but once you start considering wood stains, topper systems, and accessories, the possibilities just expand and expand until you can really create a one-of-a-kind gaming table for your home.

If anything, you should just check out the interface that Wyrmwood Gaming has set up to design your own table. It’s so cool to customize a gaming table to meet your preferences.

I’ve made some pretty cool tables using it. Now I just need to scrounge up the cash…

Have any of you bought a gaming table before? If so, let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more tabletop news!
