Try Out MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE During Open Beta This Week!
A battle royale game that is both free-to-play and anime-based is about to launch, but before developers BYKING Inc and publishers Bandai Namco launches MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE they are hosting an open beta for players to jump in early. If the title doesn’t give it away, this game is based on My Hero Academia and it will be featuring both Hero and Villain characters for players to play as.
The Open Beta test will introduce new gameplay systems on top of what was seen during the Closed Beta. These include the Plus Ultra system, a new mechanic where players can exceed the limit of a character’s “quirk” technique level once the Plus Ultra gauge is maxed out, and a new Revival system where players can revive allies by collecting items dropped by KO'd allies and special cards in the field. There are three new Heroes (Tenya Iida, Kaminari Denki, and Itsuka Kendo) that will also be available to play alongside the original 12 characters from the Closed Beta.
In this game, players will join one of eight three-player teams and battle across an expansive city map. By controlling classic MY HERO characters, fans can make the most of their Quirks to attack enemies and cooperate with their team to survive fights. Players can also contribute to their team’s victory by rescuing or intimidating civilians on the field to obtain powerful items that can determine the outcome of the battle.
Interested players can join in during the Open Beta from May 25 at 7:00 p.m. PT to June 1 at 11:00 p.m. PT. It will be hosted exclusively on PlayStation 4, with compatibility for PlayStation 5. Players can preload the game now on the PlayStation Store.
MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is planned to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Will you be jumping in to try out the new anime-based 24-player battle royale game this week?
