From publisher Hooded Horse comes news of the upcoming title Mars Tactics, a turn-based tactical strategy game from indie developer Takibi Games releasing in 2023. Based on a future conflict between the workers of Mars and the Mellon Corporation, players will have to choose to fight for the freedom of the people or the wealth of shareholders back on Earth. Both options come with their own series of challenges, such as the lack of resources for laborers necessitated in an uprising or the problems of dealing with Earth-bound bureaucracies for the corporation.

While Mars Tactics is still in it’s early stages, there are quite a few exciting features to look forward to. As a tactical turn-based game set in a large-scale conflict, managing your side’s resources and soldiers overall will affect each battle as they come. Set in a procedurally generated world, no two conflicts will be the same. Call in airstrikes. vehicles, and artillery to reshape destructible buildings and the environment on each battlefield, while you prepare ambushes and reinforcements, and plan large-scale strategies on a detailed world map of Mars.

This asymmetrical conflict between Labor and Capital will see players making difficult decisions that will be hugely different for each side and will shape the fate of Mars. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
