Square Enix says we shouldn't expect any real news on Kingdom Hearts 3 until 2.8 launches in March, but they packaged that disappointing news with two new screenshots from the game!

According to their Twitter page, Sora is pictured above using a new Drive form called "Guard form". That makes sense as it looks like he's holding a shield. The second picture is an edited visual of a keyblade as the location has yet to be announced...

From Square Enix...

"This power form was edited as it is the Keyblade from a world that hasn’t been released yet, so it has changed into a hammer shape."

So the shield being used does not necessarily have to match the keyblade as they are in the Hercules world. Part of me wonders if the blade is not edited and perhaps a giant oar blade from the upcoming Moana? That's a shot in the dark, but I'm trying to figure out what else it could be!

March is a long time to wait for more Kingdom Hearts 3 news, but we've waited years already...what's a bit longer?
