Ubisoft+ Is Coming To Xbox Consoles, RAINBOW SIX EXTRACTION To Launch On Game Pass

Ubisoft is bringing its Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox consoles in the near future, per an announcement on their website. No release date was given, but Ubisoft’s social media accounts hinted that there would be more news on the service’s release in the future.

Ubisoft+ is a subscription service that provides its users with full access to an expansive library of over 100 Ubisoft titles and their DLC on launch day. It includes recent games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Rider’s Republic, and Far Cry 6, as well as older titles like Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

Ubisoft also announced today that the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will be launching as part of Xbox Game Pass later this month. Extraction joins Rainbow Six Siege on the service and will be available on Game Pass for both console and PC.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a spinoff of Siege that features cooperative tactical missions for up to three players. In the game, Earth has been infested with parasitic aliens that need to be wiped out in order to save the planet. Extraction creates variety in its gameplay by using procedural generation to randomize enemy locations and objectives for each mission, as well as by bringing over several of the operators from Siege to act as unique character classes.

While no release date has been given for Ubisoft+’s arrival on Xbox consoles, Ubisoft does promise there will be more news on it in the future. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will launch globally on January 20th, 2022, and will be available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on the same day.
