VR Game CORE DISRUPTION Aims To Reduce Simulation Sickness Next Month
When it comes to playing games in Virtual Reality, some players have noted that they find themselves getting a form of motion sickness. This has become known as “Simulation Sickness” and counter-acting this typical issue while bringing a new entertaining title is the VR development team MPLEX. They are doing this with their game Core Disruption, a competitive thrill of esports to the virtual reality community with an unconventional approach to VR gaming using new technology that reduces the onset of simulation sickness.
To do this, they are launching the game as a cross-play, team-centric, competitive multiplayer experience with a low barrier to entry for players who may not have experience with VR. It offers players traditional keyboard/mouse accessibility, high-fidelity graphics and sound, deep player progression, customization, and a variety of different playstyles. The experience is designed to be comfortable even to players who are ordinarily susceptible to VR simulation sickness.
Core Disruption is set to release for PC via Steam and Oculus on January 17, 2022. Bringing a PvP tank battle experience to players in both 1v1 and 4v4 style combat with future plans to support the game by expanding to larger game modes and additional content such as new vehicles, skins, and other personalized elements. You can join their Discord and check out the MPLEX VR YouTube channel and watch multiple battles play out from a pre-alpha tournament they held.
