I absolutely love the 8bitdo SN30 Pro. I have had mine for a couple of years now and it is still one of my main multipurpose controllers across PC, Switch, and Retro consoles! Now, it would seem that 8bitdo has teamed up with Microsoft to release an Xbox themed version of the controller to use on smartphones for Project xCloud. Design-wise, the controller looks very similar to the SN30 Pro that has been available for some time. The biggest differences come from the change to official Xbox style buttons and branding. Typically these controllers have Switch styling with the reversed face buttons. I got to say it looks pretty cool and the fact it comes with a phone clip included is a big win for its intended use. The 8bitdo SN30 Pro uses Bluetooth or USB-C to connect to devices making it perfect for a number of uses. Battery life also sits at around 18 hours on a full charge. If you would like to hear my in-depth thoughts on the currently available versions of the SN30 Pro be sure to check out the full review I did back in 2019! The Xbox version of the 8bitdo SN30 Pro is scheduled to release in September with pre-orders available now.
