Developer Buntspecht Games have announced that they will be distributing one-thousand free copies of their adventure game Fall Of Porcupine at launch to healthcare professionals in the US, UK and Canada.

Published by Assemble Entertainment, Fall of Porcupine follows Finley, a recently-graduated medical student, who also happens to be an anthropomorphic pigeon. The newly-qualified Doctor takes up a job in the small town of Porcupine, which initially seems like a friendly and welcoming place. Investigating further, however, will reveal some dark secrets about the place and its residents.

Many aspects of the game were inspired by interviews with people working within the healthcare field, so it seems only fitting that the giveaway provides something for those who step into difficult, and often emotionally taxing work.

Individuals who are employed in healthcare, and interested in a free copy can reach out via a direct email address, healthcare@porcupine.game. Potential claimants will need to be based in the UK, US, or Canada, and will need a working Steam account.

Fall Of Porcupine is set to release in 2023. A prologue is currently available free on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and GOG.
