German game publisher, Assemble Entertainment has announced a couple of their upcoming games taking center stage at Gamescom 2020! The titles are named Orbital Bullet and Lacuna and offer some interesting looking gameplay. Both games also have a trailer so that players can get a glimpse of what’s to come.

Orbital Bullet is a “fast-paced 360-degree action-platformer with rogue-lite elements based in a unique, ring-shaped sci-fi world where all of the action takes place in a circular pattern. Players must fight through a variety of procedurally-generated planets and use intense body modifications, crafting, and heavy weaponry to make it out alive”.

Lacuna is a “story-based pixel art adventure in a beautiful 2D sci-fi “noir” universe, which challenges you to utilize extensive dialogue options in order to make decisions with potentially serious consequences. In the game, you'll step into the shoes of CDI agent Neil Conrad. Awoken by the news of a murder, you rush into a case that will soon turn your life and the whole solar system upside down. Ask questions, collect evidence, and put the pieces together until the ugly truth reveals itself... or not”.

Besides the official debuts of these two games at Gamescom 2020, I’m expecting for Assemble to show more of their new Leisure Suit Larry game. Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice was announced earlier this month via a teaser trailer. It’s the second installment in the Wet Dreams collection and is set to release on October 15th. While it isn’t my type of game, I’m sure fans are anticipating its showing at the event.

Gamescom 2020 starts today at 2pm ET/11am PT, so tune in so that you don’t miss a beat!
