The Valiant is a medieval real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by KITE Games and published by THQ Nordic. The game has been on PC for a while but will soon enter the console world and bring a lot of content for fans of both RTS games and medieval stories with deep characters. Multiplayer modes are available as well.
Players will don the armor of Theoderich, a former crusader who sets out to uncover a mysterious threat that threatens the world. Theoderich and his brotherhood of knights will traverse both Europe and the Holy Land to stop the antagonist, Ulrich von Grevel, from using an artifact known as the Rod of Aaron. The campaign boasts custom cutscenes and narrated journals.
The gameplay consists of ordering specialized units to win medieval battles. Units will grow stronger as the story progresses to add a sense of skill progression. Co-op and multiplayer modes are available such as Last Man Standing, a horde mode where three players must work together to survive the grueling onslaught. PVP modes that provide ranked play and other benefits are also available.
The Valiant will hit console markets on July 11th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also still presently available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
