It seems that players would have to wait even longer for the zombie survival game Days Gone as reports indicate that Sony is pushing back the release of the exclusive title from February 22, 2019, to April 26.
Days Gone is currently in development by Bend Studio, which will be the developer’s first game since 2012. It has been revealed that the reason for the delay is that Sony wanted to give the studio more time to polish the game up. This isn’t the first time that Sony had to delay Days Gone as the game was supposed to be released this year, but has been moved to the February 2019 schedule.
The game will feature an open-world post-apocalyptic world set in the Pacific Northwest. The player will take control of Deacon St. John, who is a former outlaw and now lives a nomadic life two years after a global pandemic almost wiped out humanity. Days Gone will feature a dynamic weather system and a seamless day and night cycle.
Days Gone is now set to release on April 26, 2019, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
