Dead Island 2 was originally released on PC via the Epic Games Store last year, and as usual, a lot of people simply ended up waiting for the Steam release. For those who waited, the Steam version is now available and comes with a 50% discount. The discount is available for all three editions, and there are new awards to redeem on PRO.
Is Dead Island 2 Steam Deck Compatible?
In addition to the Steam release, Steam Deck owners will be glad to know that Dead Island 2 is fully compatible with the handheld.
I played a good chunk of the game last year and thought the gore system was insanely detailed. The combat is crunchy, and the general structure was a step up from the original The game also looks incredible for the most part making great use of Unreal Engine, and didn’t have any stuttering either. I’m glad that Steam users can finally enjoy Dead Island 2, but these exclusivity deals definitely hurt a lot of PC titles in the long run because of a lack of marketing, and general hype.
