Dota 2 will award $17 million in prize pool money over the next 8 months, once again solidifying its role as one of the top games in eSports. For those curious, that money breaks down over 11 majors and 16 minors in 9 announced countries thus far.
As of now, China has a lion's share of most of the hosting events, although they only have one major so far out of the 4 events they are hosting throughout 2017-2018. The United States has one minor to its name as of writing, and 7 of the majors still have yet to announce a location.
