FFXIV: ENDWALKER Director Apologizes With Free Game Time

Free Time

Almost every major modern gaming release with an online focus or online component seems to suffer issues at launch as of late and while some of this stems from poor planning, sometimes games like Final Fantasy XIV have just been exploding in growth. With the last latest expansion Endwalker in Early Access, not only has the response overwhelmed the servers, there have been moments where even the queues have been overrun! While this can be fairly common for highly anticipated games on and around launch day, this is almost unheard of for an Early Access launch.

Regardless, Game Producer & Director Naoki Yoshida immediately acknowledged, apologized, and addressed the situation, and awarded players 7 days of free game time with the possibility of even more depending on how the situation progresses. With the full launch not even live yet, we will be monitoring the servers closely and report back on the situation as the story progresses. You can check out all the details on the original post by Yoshida.
