Since the release to consoles for Paradox Interactive’s Crusader Kings III, the expectation has always been for the DLCs that have come to PC will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Today, it is announced that Northern Lords will be coming to next-gen platforms on November 17! This flavor pack adds some more depth to playing as Norse and Rus tribal leaders, with specific events and cultural traits to round out the northern seas and your Vikings.
The full features of Norther Lords include:
Norse Adventurer Realms: Norse characters may abandon their own homes and lead hosts into foreign lands to establish their own kingdoms.
Jomsvikings and Shieldmaidens: Norse holy warriors and stalwart shieldmaidens take up arms on your behalf, while poet characters can compose stinging rebukes or romantic overtures.
New Cultural Content: Special Norse dynastic legacies, Norse blot sacrifices, trials by combat, and cultural innovations, as well as numerous new events for additional color.
New Art and Music: Original art and musical score to enhance your playing experience.
And more: Berserkers, missionaries, runestones, Varangian adventurers, new decisions, and other highlights from the exciting history of the Norse people.
This DLC release will also be accompianed by a free update for CKIII on console that include the Ruler Designer, so players can start games with their own unique character with deep customization options and the ability to explore how different combinations of traits can affect the dynamic familial stories that develop as the game plays out.
