Free League, the publisher behind great RPGs like ALIEN and Tales from the Loop, has released their schedule for Gen Con Online, including the games, news, and release info for the near future.
Gen Con Indy is going virtual this year, like so many other big events, and Free League will be an active participant with an event every day designed to tease new releases and show off the RPG gameplay that Free League Publishing is so well-known for.
Here’s the schedule so far, but Free League has mentioned that additional news and events might be included later.
July 28th - Official release day of Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, the next major game line from Free League Publishing.
July 29th - Release announcement about Destroyer of Worlds, the upcoming new Cinematic scenario for the official ALIEN RPG.
July 30th - Official release day of Crypt of the Mellified Mage module for the Forbidden Lands RPG, winner of four ENnie Awards 2019.
July 30th (9 PM EDT) - Actual Play of The Shadow King's Lost Heir for the MÖRK BORG RPG
July 31st - Kickstarter announcement and content reveal for the upcoming new edition of the classic Twilight: 2000 RPG.
July 31st (9 PM EDT) - Actual Play of The Dance of Dreams for the new Vaesen RPG
Aug 1st (3 PM EDT) - Actual Play of Hope's Last Rest for the ALIEN RPG
The three gameplay showcases will be available to watch on the official Free League YouTube channel.
Besides the scheduled content for Free League Publishing, Gen Con Online this year will also be the “host” of the ENnie Awards 2020, which are going to be announced during the virtual convention. Both ALIEN and MÖRK BORG from Free League Publishing are nominated for Best Game, so it will be exciting to see if the publisher is able to win. I’m rooting for ALIEN, given my wonderful time with that immersive sci-fi RPG.
The event will stream live on Friday, July 31st at 8 PM EST on the Gen Con Online Twitch channel.
