After having a successful launch with their first title, WayForward and Arc System Works is bringing the female-led beat ‘em up crew back into action! With the official teaser for River City Girls 2, we are given the main information we hope to see when a new game is announced - a release date window and a platform list. This sequel title is set to release sometime in the Summer of 2022 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
When an old foe resurfaces, Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki — joined by newcomers Marian and Provie — hit the streets. Featuring two-player online co-op, an onslaught of new features, and bone-busting combat techniques, players can look forward to a new adventure packed with new abilities, enemies, environments, and more!
As a big fan of beat ‘em up titles, I am surprised that I missed the initial release of River City Girls, but after seeing them kick butt in this teaser announcement, I’m ready to try this series out! Not only does it look like a fun title, but it will also even have co-op, which makes just about any game better than being a straight single-player experience.
