Here's A Handful Of Must-Try Game Demos To Get You Ready For The Spooky Season

One of the best things a game developer can offer potential players is a game demo so that they know exactly what the title has to offer them when it comes to the gameplay experience. While some games don’t offer this, the indie game industry has tons that do. On top of that, it won’t be long before Halloween is upon us so, here’s a list of some must-try games for those looking for something new to look forward to playing and get you in the spooky mood!

The Vale: Shadow of the Crown by Falling Squirrel

Bringing the action/adventure genre to a whole new style of gaming experience with their first-ever blind approach, Falling Squirrel offers players on both Steam and Xbox One the chance to see exactly how their title, The Vale, plays out. After playing this demo myself, before it was provided to the public, I have to admit that this was quite a unique experience and definitely left an impression on me. We can look forward to this game’s release on PC and XB1 sometime during Q1 2021.

Observer: System Redux by Bloober Team

Mixing together the cyberpunk and horror atmospheres, the original game >Observer_ is getting a full next-gen remake from the developers and is being called Observer: System Redux. Whether or not you played the original game, which had plenty of positive reviews, there is now a free demo on their Steam page that is definitely worth checking out. Not only is it one fo the first titles to present what the next-gen world of gaming has to offer, but the game is already known to be both intriguing and entertaining. The full title will be available sometime this Holiday season on PC, PS5, and XSX.

In Sound Mind by We Create Stuff

Presenting a new action-horror title with both puzzles and bosses for players to overcome, In Sound Mind is a psychological thriller that will have players digging into the horrors of one’s mind. While I can’t speak from experience on the demo myself, yet, it definitely seems to show some promise and I plan to try it out myself soon. We Create Stuff’s next-gen horror game is set to release sometime in 2021 on Steam, PS5, and XSX.

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes by Still Running

Taking the ARPG genre into a horrorpunk world, Still Running is looking to send players on a new adventure through a strange world. Using a mixture of Lovecraftian horrors and Cronenbergian gore, Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is looking to be a brutal and creepy title, but we don’t have to just base what this game has to offer by the trailer since it currently has a demo for players to try out. This title is set to launch later this year on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and XB1 too, so if you like it the wait won’t be long!

Succubus by Madmind Studio -ADULTS ONLY CONTENT-

Finishing our list with the more NSFW title is the next title from the developers that like to send their players to hell. Madmind Studio has released a well-received demo for their action-based horror title, Succubus, that lets players fight against the various demons they will encounter in hell. It also has some other brutal aspects to it, so be ready for some intense content with this one! Currently, it is only set to release on Steam, but the date is still undisclosed.
