The sequel to the truly awesome medieval combat game, Chivalry is set for a summer release! Chivalry II will release on June 8th and hopes to improve even further on the formula that made the first game so amazing. The game will feature enhanced combat mechanics, larger battles, and cross-platform multiplayer. PC pre-orders are open now and seal your chances of playing in the cross-platform closed beta scheduled for March 26th. It’s sure to be a bloodfest.
There are several different ways to pre-order Chivalry II in both digital and physical form. Pre-ordering the standard version of the game in either form allows you to cash in on the “The Royal Zweihander” weapon variant. The standard version of the title will cost $39.99 at launch.
There’s also a special edition that costs $49.99 and includes even more goodies. The special edition is digital-only and includes Chivalry II, the Agatha Jousting Armor, the Royal Broadsword, the Mason Jousting Armor, the Gold Horseman’s Axe, the Rose novelty item, and even more. It is highlighted that the digital pre-orders are your best bet if you want in on the closed beta that’s coming up.
I personally loved the first game and it’s one of the first titles that I remember playing when I built my first gaming rig. I’m excited to see how they’ve tightened up the gameplay and what’s been added to make it even better. It’s a series of games that really stand in their own genre. June can’t come quick enough!
