The next third-person horror action-adventure title to keep your eyes on comes from indie developers Brass Token who are working with publisher Prime Matter to get it released this year. Their game called The Chant has recently released a full-length story trailer that gives horror fans a glimpse into the environment, lore, and fear that they are aiming to deliver.
As it was revealed in the announcement teaser trailer, this game is going to be a psychological horror focused on spirituality. Players are welcomed to the Prismic Science Spiritual Retreat located on remote Glory Island. When a ritualistic chant on Glory Island goes wrong, a visiting group’s negative energy unleashes a dimension of cosmic terror called the Gloom. To survive the Gloom, you must uncover a cultish mystery spanning both past and present, as the other group members slowly go mad from a host of parasitic creatures.
The Chant will take players into a new realm of terror where horrors prey on their own fears and can be fatal unless they carefully balance their mind, body, and spirit. It all happens later in 2022 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
