“The idea of the game is my mom traveling through the gates of Heaven,” Kanye West explained to a live crowd at Madison Square Garden. As part of a speech about his business ventures outside of music and giving thanks to his colleagues, he presented a cutscene from his upcoming game Only One.
Kanye’s mother passed away in 2007, and her death is his inspiration for creating the story in this game. Being that he is personally connected to the core of the game’s story and the game won’t suffer from too many budget constraints, it’ll be fascinating to see what else he has to offer as the project continues.
