MAGIC: LEGENDS Is Going Into Open Beta This March

The video game adaptation for the popular trading card game Magic: The Gathering is almost upon us and to prove it, developers Cryptic Studios and publisher Perfect World Entertainment are releasing Magic: Legends into open beta on March 23rd. Before the open beta goes live, some have been selected to do initial playtesting in the closed alpha from February 11th to the 22nd, so if you signed up, be sure to check your emails! Note that the open beta will be on PC only, but the game is still planned to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.

Whether you have been given access to the closed alpha or simply look forward to the open beta, there are a couple of things to check out now to prepare yourselves. First is the official Deckbuilding Fundamentals video above that came straight from the creators themselves. This video breaks down everything you need to know to get started on your own fantastical journey within Magic: Legends. Secondly, there is a whole pre-order option available that gives multiple cosmetics and premium content for all five announced Planeswalker classes.

The pre-order option is the Planeswalker Bundle and it is currently being offered at 50% off the contents planned value. The best part of this pre-order offer is that you don’t have to wait for the game’s full release later on this year to get access to it. The full content included in the Planeswalker Bundle will be available the moment the open beta is released! So, what will it be? Grab the bundle while it’s half off or try out the action first hand before committing to the purchase?

Edit: They officially launched an announcement trailer for the open beta! Check it out below:
