MAGIC: LEGENDS Reveals The Black Mana Planeswalker With Gameplay

Earlier this month we got to see the healing-focused fighter of the white mana class known as the Sanctifier, but now Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have revealed the black mana class’ planeswalker for their upcoming free-to-play MMORPG Magic: Legends. Meet the Necromancer, a planeswalker who’s fighting style will require a delicate balance between life and death. The full announcement of this new fighter was on the Magic Legends website, which is where you can still sign up to participate in the beta once it goes live.

Players interested in using the Necromancer will find themselves balancing their power through a mixture of summoning creatures, sacrificing them for benefits, and whittling down opponents over time. They will get to utilize his main abilities as well, which include Grim Siphon, a mid-range lashing attack that drains life from foes over time, Grave Upheaval, a damage-dealing secondary ability that targets foes and summons two skeletons, and Soul Wither, a utility ability that applies slows and damage over time effects to nearby enemies. Ultimately, this is one of the more risky characters to use as top skilled players will find themselves frequenting between tremendous gain and devastating loss.

While the game is still planned to release on PC and console sometime in 2021, we still have the green, red, and blue mana planeswalkers left to see revealed still. I’m fairly certain I will end up using the Sanctifier personally, but I still can’t wait to see what options will be available across all five mana’s.
