NetherRealm Studios Announces MORTAL KOMBAT XL

Mortal Kombat, we need to talk. I love ya baby, really I do. But you're getting greedy. I suppose it was a matter of time before we saw a re-release of Mortal Kombat X with all the goodies unlocked and the DLC characters added in, but for those of us who have been playing the game for a year now, it just kinda feels like we're being slapped in the face with it. Like I said though, we knew it was going to happen, since the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition sold like hot cakes dipped in blood and guts. (Actually... those probably wouldn't have sold very well. Just regular hot cakes.)

The addition of "Pre-Order Now to Get the Cosplay Pack" at the end of the trailer is just insulting. If you're shelling out to buy Mortal Kombat XL, aren't you doing so to get everything in the game? Adding a pre-order bonus just feels gross. And not the good kind of gross that I like from the series, the bad kind. Bad form NetherRealm, bad form...

Mortal Kombat XL will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on April 3rd.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Mortal Kombat™ XL, the definitive experience of the award-winning, hit Mortal Kombat X videogame, which was the best-selling game in franchise history and recently named the Best Fighting Game by The Game Awards 2015
