The term “brain punk” is one that is new to a lot of people, but boldly as always, Bandai Namco is showing off what it is in an epic, action-packed animated trailer for Scarlet Nexus. This new trailer highlights the animation from the Japanese animation studio Sunrise Inc. and how the brain punk, a mixture of technology and psychic abilities, looks in action. It has me looking forward to its eventual release on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam!
In the distant future, the world as we know it changes when people are granted extra-sensory powers thanks to a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity. Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.
With a complex story and creatively intense fighting, Scarlet Nexus is definitely on my list of games to look forward to! Are you ready to take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi?
