New Helldivers Balance Patch Adds Sandstorms and Blizzards, Raises Level Cap to 150

Helldivers 2 is a gift that keeps on giving, and the developers continue to patch the title, improving the stability, and balancing. That’s not all though, but since launch, the developers have added mechs, new enemies, stratagems, weapons, and even environmental hazards to keep players engaged while providing a steady supply of fresh content.

Now, with patch 01.000.200, they’re taking it even further with continued balancing, improvements, bug fixes and even Sandstorms and Blizzards.

Helldivers 2 Patch 01.000.200

You can read the complete patch notes here, but I’ll list some highlights.

  • Planetary Hazard additions: Blizzards, Sandstorms

  • Increased level cap: The level cap has been increased from 50 to 150

  • Retrieve Essential Personnel: Fewer civilians are required to complete the mission on higher difficulties

  • Bile Spewers and Nursing Spewers do less damage with their puke.

  • The Bile Titan can no longer be stunned.

  • Halved the negative effect of operation modifiers that increase stratagem cooldowns or call-in times

  • Chargers normal melee attack now does less damage against Exosuits.

  • Anti-Materiel Rifle: damage increased by 30%.

  • Liberator Penetrator: now has a full auto mode

  • Arc Thrower: fixed charging inconsistencies; it will now always take 1s to charge a shot

  • Shriekers no longer create bug breaches.

  • Fixed issue where save settings for PS5 would be reset when the game is rebooted

  • We have reduced the number of objects that prevent hellpod steering

While the environmental hazards are a great addition, the highlight of this patch in my opinion is the weapon balancing. I’m glad to see the Dominator get some love with increased damage and stagger.

I recommend going through the complete patch notes to see the individual changes, but overall, this is a welcome update, and I’m glad to see the necessary buffs given to weapons that were a bit lacking. The update is around 1.5 GB on PC.
