New Indie Turn Based Roguelike ABALON Just Released

Roguelike deckbuilder Abalon from D20Studios just launched on PC a few days ago officially leaving early access and entering version 1.0. The new indie game is centered around tactical turn-based combat while operating as a card strategy-based roguelike. The new update to version 1.0 includes 4 new playable Summoners and many new cards, including the Magiscales, a race of cyber psychic lizard wizards with the power to control gravity and shapeshift into other units.

For those unfamiliar with Abalon, it is a turn-based tactics game with card strategy wrapped in a roguelike adventure focused on exploration, survival, and defeating powerful bosses. As for what players can expect if they’re interested in Abalon, it combines grid-based movement and spell cards for a unique experience. Players can summon creatures, cast spells, and customize their strategy with 20+ characters to choose from and 400 different cards. Abalon also offers an open-world exploration mode where players can recruit new party members and brew potions.

Abalon is available now on PC via Steam.
