Indie developer Ember Paw Games and publisher Fireshine Games have just announced their new upcoming game Odinfall and its planned release for PC this summer through Steam Early Access. In addition, there will be a Closed Alpha on April 10th, which you can sign up for here.
Odinfall is a Viking-themed, roguelite twin-stick shooter with detailed pixel-art graphics for those pixel-heads out there. In the world of Odinfall, Ragnarök has already happened and the world has been ravaged and destroyed. It’s already the post-apocalypse and now Odin wants to trigger Ragnarök again, because for some reason once wasn’t enough for him. Your job as one of the multiple playable characters available in Odinfall is to stop Odin in his tracks because one apocalypse was one too many.
In Odinfall you will be able to adventure as the Cyberserker, the Dark Elf, the Dwarf, the manic Gnome, or as a freakin’ Viking Moose! Players will be able to fight with weapons from an endlessly-modifiable armory, with examples like an acid-spitting minigun or an ice-bow that turns enemies into popsicles. Upgrade your skills and take on the Norse Gods in fast-paced combat. Runs will be procedurally generated as well as completely destructible.
Odinfall will release sometime in the summer of 2023 on PC via Steam, but the closed alpha will release on April 10th.
