Fans of Apex Legends have awaited, with much anticipation, for the official reveal and rollout of a new season. Now it’s here and packed full of fresh unlockable Battle Pass content and the introduction of a new playable Legend. The wait is finally over!
EA and Respawn Entertainment’s new video trailer of Valkyrie shows a young woman with an intriguing backstory that is deeply intertwined with her Titan pilot father, Viper. Respawn’s reveal tells us “Valkyrie inherited her father’s love of flight, but not his sense of duty.” This is apparent in her trailer, as we learn this new Legend is a tenacious smuggler with a chip on her shoulder.
Those who have played Titanfall 2 may recognize Valkyrie’s father, Viper, and the trailer’s Titan class. This Northstar Titan class is available to play in the game’s multiplayer mode. Beyond the storyline link between characters and Northstar class Titan, there’s no indication Respawn will be bringing the massive Titans into the playable Apex Legends universe at this time.
For those who haven’t tried Apex Legends, it’s a free-to-play game that’s playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
