Nintendo has once again expanded their list of retro titles for those subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service. While players have had access to a catalog of both NES and SNES titles for some time now, they took a moment during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct to announce that they are adding both the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis gaming platforms to the catelog! However, in order to access the new content, users will need to update their membership to the new plan.

With these classic titles, players will be able to play them like they used to back in the day. Offering both couch and online multiplayer for select titles, players can have up to three friends join them for a four-player experience. Honestly, the list of titles that will be available right away is loaded with awesome games! Check out the N64 and Sega game lists:

This new expansion pack won’t be available until late October. An exact release date and pricing details will be provided closer to release. After the initial launch, they still plan to bring more titles over, such as:

  • Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask

  • Mario Golf

  • Pokemon Snap

  • F-Zero X

  • Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

  • Paper Mario

  • Banjo-Kazooie

On top of all this, they wanted to provide the feel and control of classic gaming as well. To do this, they are releasing Switch compatible N64 and Sega Genesis controllers that are also wireless. They are modeled and styled just as the classic controllers were, so it will be a true blast from the past when players experience these classic titles with the original controllers.
