NO MAN'S SKY Is Headed to the Xbox One, Plus A New Update Called NEXT

Developer Hello Games just announced that No Man’s Sky, the space exploration title initially released for the PlayStation 4 and PC, is now on its way to Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox One X.

The Xbox One and X versions of the game will introduce graphical improvements that include support for HDR and 4K resolutions. Furthermore, No Man’s Sky for the Xbox One and X will consist of previously released DLCs such as Foundation, Pathfinder, and Atlas Rises. Lastly, 505 Games will be publishing a worldwide physical edition of the game soon.

Also, the upcoming major update for No Man’s Sky called NEXT will be released this summer, and will also be included in the Xbox One edition. Just like previous updates of the game, NEXT will be available for free to all existing players. Furthermore, Hello Games is calling NEXT as No Man’s Sky’s most significant update thus far.

“We called this update NEXT, because it’s an important next step on a longer journey for us and the community,” said Sean Murray, co-founder of Hello Games. “We’ve been working our socks off on this and it’s by far our biggest update so far. It will be free to existing players, and we’ll continue to support No Man’s Sky in this way for the foreseeable future.”

As of now, only a release window has been announced for NEXT.
