The upcoming Polymega console has been something of a hot topic over the last few weeks as the team behind it readies for its 2019 launch. There are those out there who will insist the console is a fake and that it isn’t capable of anything being shown. Then there are those who know that the console it is perfectly capable of all advertised features. As part of ongoing promotion to advertise the console the Polymega team has begun releasing a series of gameplay videos based on user requests! The newest video showcases a number of technical monsters from the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn including Wipeout 3, Dead or Alive, Virtua Fighter 2, Bloody Roar 2, Ehrgeiz and Anarchy in the Nippon. Check it out below!

By request! Today we are taking a look at some of the most technically demanding games on PS1 and Saturn - played live on the Polymega. 60FPS and running at higher than usual resolutions (eg, 640x480), these games really show off what 32-bit consoles were capable of!

While these games might not look like much today each pushed the limits of their original hardware in different ways which can cause issues in emulation. Each of the above games is playing flawlessly on the Polymega however without so much as a single audio crackle to give away any dips in performance. Having tested numerous games for emulation wiki’s I am super impressed by how seamless and well the Polymega is running! We are still a couple of months out from the retail release of the Polymega and I can’t wait to get my hands on one! A second round of pre-orders is set to open this May for anyone else who might feel the same way!
