It wasn’t that long ago that I was given a preview of the upcoming game from Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds Studio, Port Royale 4. At that time the game still hadn’t received a release date but simply had a Q3 2020 window. That changed today as Kalypso has finally unveiled that Port Royale 4 will be releasing on September 25, 2020, across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. While the news about the release date is great, it is the fact that the console and PC versions will be releasing simultaneously that has me most excited. Typically with Kalypso’s releases, the PC version releases first with the console versions to follow some months after. Preferring to play on consoles myself, I am glad to know that I won’t have to wait an extended period of time to play! For those who prefer to play on PC, a new closed beta period has started today that you can take part in by pre-ordering the game through the Kalypso store!
