RESIDENT EVIL: VILLAGE Makes Its Terrifying Debut During The PS5 Showcase

The next mainline title for the Resident Evil franchise has been officially announced and as it turns out, the leaks held true. Resident Evil: Village was revealed by Capcom during the final moments of Sony’s PS5 showcase through an intense trailer that can be viewed above.

As the leaks predicted, Ethan and Mia from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be making their return alongside a morally gray Chris Redfield, and the game is set in a snow-covered mountain village. Oh, there are also werewolves?

It was rumored that Resident Evil: Village would be a large departure from previous entries, and it sure seems to be turning out that way. If you want to know more about the upcoming survival-horror title, you can check out a special developer message from Tsuyoshi Kanda and Peter Fabiano below.

Resident Evil: Village is scheduled to release sometime in 2021 on Xbox Series X, PS5, and Steam.
