Not much has been said about the next entry to the Test Drive Unlimited series, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, which had been teased a few months back. And after Tuesday’s NACON Connect, I find myself still not feeling like I know enough about this ambitious new racing game. What we do know about Solar Crown is that it’s aiming to take racers on a truly remarkable drive.
During the show, it was revealed that Solar Crown would be taking place on Hong Kong Island. Neon-lighted cities, sunny beaches, and sprawling shipyards are just a few of the locations that players will come to find in this new entry. The truly ambitious part about Solar Crown is the fact that the game is rendered on a 1:1 scale which will have you feeling absorbed by the city as you race through it.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is expected to release on September 22nd, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
