The medieval heist-themed title, Hood: Outlaws & Legends has been treated to a new game mode as well as some more improvements going on within it.

State Heist mode is a new way to play the game where there is no opposite team racing you to the gold. Instead, it’s you and your team against the deadly AI-controlled State. This new way to play emphasizes cooperation with your teammates and heavy use of stealth. Players will also face limitations with respawning which is sure to change the way you play entirely.

This new mode is welcomed by me with open arms as I felt that Hood suffered greatly by it not having something like this at launch. While playing against other players has the possibility to be fun, it just didn’t seem to fully do it for me when I had reviewed the game. Can’t wait to get back into it!

Luckily, the devs at Sumo Digital listen to their players very keenly and are constantly working to make the game its best. The title has received many updates and tweaks since launch and the devs say that additional free content is also on the way over the course of 2021.

The game’s first big event, Season 1: Samhain is coming soon and is chock-full of new content. A New outlaw, updates to the winch system, tons of cosmetics, events, and many more improvements are what players can come to expect over the next few months.
