The SYSTEM SHOCK Remake Finally Gets A Proper Release Date

Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have officially announced that their highly anticipated remake of the cult classic System Shock has been delayed until the end of May. Initially planned for a March release, the studio has finally dedicated itself to a specific launch date. The other catch is that it will not launch on all platforms simultaneously.

PC fans will have first dibs on the remake with a planned console launch announcement at a later date. Although the game is planning on coming to both last-gen and current-gen systems, there is no word on when the console launch may be. Currently, players can pre-order the game via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $39.99. If you’re curious about how the remake plays, you can check out the free demo on Steam for yourself.

It has been a long time coming, with its original Kickstarter initiating the project over 7 years ago. But the time is approaching when we can all arctic onboard the Citadel Station and fight for our lives!

System Shock is launching on May 30th for PC via Steam, GOG, and EGS. It is slated to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One at a later date.
